JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee all import and export activities, transport and fleet operations, logistics, warehousing, and distribution across the company.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient end-to-end supply chain operations that support production, sales, and timely delivery to customers locally and internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Imports and Exports Management
• Oversee all import and export operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents to ensure prompt customs clearance and delivery of goods.
• Ensure full compliance with Ghana Customs, FDA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements on international trade.
• Negotiate freight rates, logistics contracts, and service terms with shipping and clearing service providers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all imports, exports, and shipping transactions.
•Monitor lead times and proactively address any delays, demurrage risks, or logistics bottlenecks.
• Fleet and Transport Management
• Manage the company’s fleet of trucks and cars to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transport of products and personnel.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, insurance renewals, registration, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and driver performance to minimize operating costs.
• Plan and coordinate delivery routes for efficient product distribution to customers and distributors.
• Implement safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with transport and road regulations.
• Logistics, Warehousing, and Distribution
• Supervise warehouse operations to ensure effective inventory management, accurate stock records, and product traceability.
• Coordinate logistics and dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of products to key markets and distributors.
• Collaborate with production and sales teams to align logistics and distribution with production and customer demand plans.
• Develop and monitor warehouse layout, storage practices, and material handling systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and proper storage conditions for all materials and finished products.
• Supply Chain Planning and Coordination
• Support the Head of Supply Chain in demand forecasting, material planning, and supply scheduling to meet production targets.
• Work closely with procurement and production teams to maintain adequate stock of raw and packaging materials.
• Develop and implement supply chain improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
• Monitor supplier and service provider performance to ensure adherence to agreed quality and delivery standards.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on logistics performance, cost trends, and supply chain KPIs.
• Leadership and Team Development
• Supervise and develop the logistics, transport, and warehouse teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all supply chain units and related departments
