A reputable debt recovery Company is inviting applications for the position of a Secretary.
Candidates for this position must possess exceptional organizational skills, a superb command over the English language, and professional communication skills. A high level of proficiency in office software and a basic understanding of legal and administrative processes within the debt recovery industry are essential.
The potential employee’s responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as one of the first point of contact for clients, debtors and visitors.
Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters and legal notices, including correspondences meant for Management.
Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems to ensure all debt recovery records are easily accessible.
Ensure the daily update of cases in the Case Management Software Platform and or any other platform designated by Management.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and other arrangements for the Management, legal and recovery teams.
Draft and prepare routine legal documents, reports and debt demand letters as directed.
Liaise with clients and debtors to provide basic updates on case statuses and redirect technical inquiries to the appropriate officer.
Monitor deadlines for case filings and follow-ups to ensure the team remains compliant with recovery timelines.
Manage office supplies and inventory.
Record minutes during internal meetings and distribute them to the relevant team members.
Assist in basic bookkeeping and tracking of administrative expenses related to debt collection activities.
Provide administrative support to the Debt Recovery team to maximize operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Secretaryship, Office Management or Business Administration.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a secretarial or administrative role (experience in a legal or debt recovery firm is an added advantage).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Above average typist.
