• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, or Furniture Detailing and Design with 10 years of experience working as a Furniture Designer/Detailer. • Proficiency in Auto- CAD, Illustrator, Sketchup, Solid Works and Photoshop and other 3D visualization software. • Drawing skills and strong visual awareness and creativity. • Flexibility and Adaptability • Ability to collaborate and work with a team. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication Skills.

A joinery company in Spintex, Accra, is seeking to employ an experience and qualified FURNITURE DETAILER/DESIGNER with a minimum of 5 years proven experience in the industry. 
The candidate must be able to do the following:

• Undertake design projects from concept to completion.


• Visit sites and takes As-Built measurements.


• Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”.


• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans / take-off.


• Research and propose materials specification, accessories, and products sourcing.


• Produce samples/prototypes and mood boards and 3d presentations for clients.


• Supervise work progress. Liaise with production department staff such as production managers, carpenters etc about the progress of construction or manufacture.


• Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and sub-constructors.


• Produce shop drawings for joinery work / floorplans required for any project.
