Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Executive Director (ED)
Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, management, and reporting for our freight and logistics operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial information, optimize working capital, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Optimize freight payment terms and credit facilities.
- Monitor and control fuel, equipment, and other operational expenses.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs):
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster collaboration across departments.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA,).
Experience:
- 5+ years of finance management experience in freight and logistics.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Skills:
- Strong accounting and financial knowledge.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in financial software (e.g., Xero, Excel).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Previous experience working in a transport and logistics company is highly desirable
- Speaking French is an advantage
