Our client, a prominent manufacturer and exporter specializing in all types of caps, headwear, baseball caps is seeking an enthusiastic, goal-driven, and dedicated professional with a strong sense of integrity to fill the position of a Human Resource Manager (HR Manager).

Location: Bright Free Zone, Afienya, Tema
Reports To: Managing Director
Position Overview
The HR Manager will play a key leadership role in building a strong, efficient, and compliant workforce for the company — the first large-scale hat manufacturing factory in Africa. This position requires a highly organized, proactive, and people-oriented professional who understands both local and international labor environments, and who can align HR practices with the company’s strategic growth plan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Development
· Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain skilled professionals suited to the apparel and headwear manufacturing industry.
· Work closely with department heads to identify manpower needs and build a sustainable pipeline of local and expatriate talent.
· Lead onboarding, training, and career development programs to enhance workforce capability and efficiency.
2. Organizational Structure & HR Systems
· Design, document, and continuously refine the factory’s core organizational structure (departments, reporting lines, job grading, and hierarchy).
· Develop standardized Job Descriptions, KPIs, and evaluation systems for all key positions.
· Build and maintain accurate HR databases, including employee records, contracts, attendance, and performance files.
3. Policy Implementation & Compliance
· Establish and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with Ghana labor laws and Free Zone regulations.
· Collaborate with management to ensure fair and transparent employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, and reward systems.
· Partner with the Compliance and Social Responsibility teams to maintain high standards of ethical and workplace practices.
4. Compensation & Benefits
· Develop and manage compensation structures, payroll processes, and benefits programs aligned with company standards and local law.
· Monitor attendance, overtime, and performance-related incentives to ensure accuracy and fairness.
5. Culture & Employee Engagement
· Promote a healthy, inclusive, and performance-driven work environment.
· Facilitate communication between management and staff to strengthen company culture and morale.
· Plan internal events, recognition programs, and welfare initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management, in manufacturing and apparel/textile industry is a must.
3. Strong knowledge of Ghana labor laws and international HR best practices.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese or Twi is an advantage.
