Insight HR Solutions is mandated by one of its clients to recruit a General Manager for immediate employment. The office will be located in Accra. Knowledge of and experience in the gaming/lottery industry are an asset.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the development and implementation, of the planned functions of the administrative areas of Ghana, such as Compliance, HR, Finance, Office Administration; their compliance with Group policy and efficient execution.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration
• Develop strategic plan, with Chairman
• Execution of strategic plan
• Monitoring and reporting on all administrative activities – Weekly Status report
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports for the chairman and CEO on operations
Talent and Capability
- Coach direct reports and mentor and develop talent in the Ghana Operations (responsible areas) by defining management capabilities, modern talent development including short-term assignments, coaching and succession planning initiatives/interventions
- Establish and implement performance standards and goals, as well as departmental policies and procedures, which will enable the responsible areas to function more effectively and efficiently
- Ensure continuous education is in place for the responsible areas to maintain a working knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations to ensure understanding, so that proactive adjustments can be made to ensure that integrity and compliance is preserved
- Ensure that employee engagement is analysed and increased year over year at all levels
Technology & Analytics
- Ensure best practice technology, tools and systems are in place to optimize related processes and drive business insights through big data and analytics
- Keep abreast of emerging tech trends to ensure that the responsible areas and supporting technology evolve as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chairman or CEO
Authority (decisions this job has delegated authority to make or recommend)
- Approve expenditures in line with approved budgets and authority delegations
- Approve leave plans for team members
- Approve new retailer locations
Resources Managed (budget, purchases, other assets)
- Reports in the Administration function
- Expenditures in line with the approved Budget of the Company, in areas of responsibility
- Materials and equipment assigned to the Department
