JOB PURPOSE:
The successful applicant shall play a crucial role in ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to support our business objectives in the clearing and forwarding industry. He/She shall be responsible for overseeing financial operations within our organization.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Develops and implements financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
- Prepares accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses, to facilitate informed decision-making by senior management.
- Identifies and assesses financial risks and opportunities, and develops strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in the industry.
- Manages cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources and maintain financial stability.
- Ensures compliance with local and international tax regulations, accounting standards, and industry-specific regulations.
- Establishes and maintains robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets, prevents fraud, and maintains data integrity in financial transactions.
- Analyzes cost structures, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and implements cost control measures to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Provides strategic financial guidance and insights to senior management, including recommendations for investment decisions, pricing strategies, and business expansion initiatives.
- Liaises with internal stakeholders, external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities to facilitate transparent communication and collaboration on financial matters.
- Leads and mentors a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the finance department.
