Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with tax preparation, reconciling accounts, and performing data entry tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare Financial Reports: Generate and assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assist with Tax Preparation: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure Accuracy: Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors or discrepancies as necessary.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Accounting Principles: Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies in financial records.
Data Entry & Accuracy: High attention to detail when entering financial data and ensuring its accuracy.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify financial issues, propose solutions, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Financial Reporting: Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial reports.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
