Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or Textile Design from a recognized institution. • 3–5 years’ experience in creative fashion or industrial apparel design, with a strong portfolio of past work. • Experience working within a garment manufacturing or production environment is a strong advantage. • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software. • Understanding of garment construction, industrial sewing techniques, and fabric behavior. • Exposure to international fashion trends and production standards preferred. Job Description

Location: Tema, Ghana

Reports To: Production Manager / General Manager

Contract Type: Full-Time

Purpose of Role

The Creative Fashion Designer will play a key role in translating design concepts into high-quality, market-ready apparel that aligns with the client’s industrial garment production capacity and brand strategy. The role blends creativity with technical precision — combining fashion innovation, fabric knowledge, and industrial production standards to deliver both mass-market and customized garment lines for local and export markets.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Product Development

• Research and interpret emerging fashion trends, colours, and materials for the company’s target markets (local, regional, and export).

• Design new collections and product lines consistent with the client’s brand identity and customer segments (corporate wear, uniforms, fashion retail, etc.).

• Prepare design sketches, mood boards, and digital prototypes using relevant design software.

• Develop tech packs/spec sheets with precise measurements, stitching, and finishing details for production teams.

• Collaborate closely with patternmakers, sample cutters, and production staff to ensure design feasibility and efficient manufacturing.

Fabric & Material Selection

• Identify and source appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories based on function, cost, and availability.

• Work with supply chain and procurement teams to maintain sustainable and cost-effective sourcing practices.

Quality & Fit Oversight

• Supervise the sample development process and ensure final garments meet quality and fit standards.

• Participate in garment fitting sessions and resolve design-to-production inconsistencies.

Brand & Market Development

• Support development of marketing visuals, lookbooks, and promotional material in collaboration with the sales and marketing team.

• Contribute creative direction for product photo shoots, brand campaigns, and exhibitions.
