A progressive animal feed company in Kumasi is seeking experienced and energetic Technical Operators to join our growing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring various factory equipment to ensure smooth production and adherence to safety standards.As a Technical Operator, you will operate key production machinery including extruders, packaging equipment, milling equipment, boilers, forklifts, and other factory equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of the production process. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, technically skilled, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and monitor factory equipment such as extruders, milling machines, packaging machines, boilers, and forklifts.
Ensure that machinery operates efficiently and safely during production runs.
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures at all times.
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and escalating complex problems to the maintenance team.
Maintain accurate operational records and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Technical Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of factory safety protocols and operational procedures.
HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field is an advantage.
Ability to operate multiple types of machinery safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
