Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The technician will support maintenance activities, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify faults and hazards.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform corrective maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
Test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Assist engineers and supervisors in electrical projects and installations.
Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
Qualifications
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or installation.
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial equipment.
Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures
Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics
Good communication and teamwork skills
