Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
Minimum of 7–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior academic leadership role (preferably in a Cambridge or British international school setting).
In-depth knowledge of the Cambridge British Curriculum (EYFS through IGCSE or A-Levels).
Proven track record of driving academic success and instructional excellence.
Culturally sensitive and able to work effectively in a diverse environment.
Expatriate experience in Africa, Asia, Europe or the Middle East preferred.

Description
The Vice Principal – Academics will lead the academic vision and instructional excellence of the school in line with the Cambridge British Curriculum. This senior leadership role requires a seasoned international educator with a strong background in curriculum development, teacher mentoring, academic planning, and performance evaluation. The VP Academics will ensure that the school maintains high academic standards and fosters an inclusive, engaging, and progressive learning environment.
Key Responsibility
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Cambridge curriculum across all grade levels.
- Ensure curriculum alignment, continuity, and compliance with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive teacher development program, including mentoring, classroom observations, and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) sessions.
- Analyze and report on academic performance metrics; implement interventions for continuous improvement.
- Monitor student assessment practices, grading standards, and exam preparation strategies.
- Collaborate with school leadership to develop academic policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Cambridge exam board representatives and external academic partners when required.
- Contribute to strategic planning, school improvement initiatives, and curriculum expansion (e.g., STEM, robotics, bilingual education).
- Represent the school at academic events, conferences, and partnership meetings locally and internationally.
