• In consultation with the University Librarian, establish and implement library and information policies and procedures
• Liaise with the University Librarian on all major issues concerning the library, including staffing.
• Develop and manage convenient, accessible library and information services
• Establish, supervise and manage the budgeting, planning, and personnel activities for library and information services.
• Develop and manage cost-effective library and information services,
technology and media
• Order materials and maintain records for payment of invoices
• Analyse and evaluate library and information services, technology and media service requirements.
• Prepare reports related to library and information services, technology and media services, resources and activities
• Explain to students and staff use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies.
• Take leadership role in the procurement, licensing and management of electronic information resources.
• Provide input into the architectural planning of library facilities.
