We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our road construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Analyze and evaluate tender documents, contracts, and subcontractor agreements.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and assess cost implications.
• Measure and value work done on-site, including preparation of interim and final payment applications.
• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Prepare and monitor bills of quantities (BOQ) and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Manage procurement of materials, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Negotiate and resolve variations, claims, and disputes with contractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
• Provide detailed financial forecasts and maintain accurate records of all project expenses.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in road construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working on large-scale road construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of modern construction techniques and technology.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
