Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and qualified Accountant who is desirable to be an initiative-taker, enjoys accepting accountability for his/her actions, demonstrates initiative, and approaches tasks in a structured and deliberate manner.

 

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit or Loss and Other Comprehensive Income, and Statement of Cash Flow.


• Ensure timely week-end, month-end, and year-end closing processes.


• Prepare and present financial reports to management.

 

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, payment processing, accurate records, and vendor reconciliation


• Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.


• Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on payments from clients

 

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to run the organization.


• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

 

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.


• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, clients’ statements, and other Statement of Financial Position accounts.


• Maintaining fixed assets register and update it regularly

Compliance and Audit

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.


• Coordinate with external auditors and other statutory bodies and prepare necessary documentation for audits.

 

Payroll Processing

• Payroll processing, accurate and timely employees records and timely disbursement of employee salaries.


• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

 

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial performance metrics.


• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

 

Systems and Controls

• Implement and maintain robust financial systems and internal controls.


• Implement a strong backup system to ensure protection of accounting & financial information at all times

• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


• Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing controls and safeguards as necessary to protect company assets

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in  Accounting or Finance


• Final Level in ICAG/ACCA


• Professional Qualification in ICAG/ACCA is a plus


• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.

• Must be proficient in Tally ERP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
