The Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Myriam Monrat, has urged individuals planning to travel to Canada for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to submit their visa applications as early as possible.
Canada will co-host the tournament next year alongside the United States and Mexico, marking the first World Cup in history to feature 48 participating nations.
Speaking on preparations for the global event, the High Commissioner noted that Canada is coordinating closely with its co-hosts to ensure a seamless experience for visitors.
“We are working very closely with our colleagues in the US and Mexico to ensure cohesion and coherence in how we approach the World Cup,” she said.
