Rising tennis sensation, Johnson Acquah, cemented his reputation as a force to be reckoned with when he delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the final of the Interplast Masters Tennis Tournament held at the Accra Lawn Tennis Court on Saturday, November 23.
Acquah dominated the men’s final against Reginald Okantey, winning in straight sets (6-2, 6-0). The match started with Okantey showing early promise, but Acquah’s superior preparation and skill quickly shifted the momentum in his favour.
Acquah’s powerful serves and strategic play left his opponent struggling, and he closed out the match with remarkable precision to secure the title.
In the women’s final, Tracy Ampah battled fiercely against Sisu Tomegah in a thrilling three-set showdown. Ampah took an early lead, winning the first set 6-2.
Tomegah rallied in the second, overcoming Ampah to take the set 6-4. However, Ampah regained her rhythm in the final set, dominating 6-1 to emerge as champion.

The tournament organiser, Peter Annan, lauded the players for their high level of competition and extended gratitude to the event’s sponsors for their invaluable support.
