Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom says he is unsure what business they will do in January's transfer window, as his side extended their winless run following Tuesday's Championship draw at Stoke City.
The Lilywhites have won four of the 18 games that Heckingbottom has taken charge of, since his arrival at the club as replacement for Ryan Lowe shortly after the start of the season.
Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, Heckingbottom said: "Who knows what we're going to be able to get done?
"From my point of view coming into the club when I came in, transfer windows are going to be big for me."
Preston are on a seven-game run without victory in the Championship with Tuesday's goalless draw against the Potters the fifth stalemate during that period.
Their most recent victory came against fellow strugglers Coventry City, on 19 October.
Asked whether his squad needed major changes headed into the January transfer window, Heckingbottom added: "One, it's how much we're capable of doing in terms of finance and opportunity. January is always difficult.
"The other thing is what we do between now and January. Lots of things I've been pleased with but I want to win more games, simple.
"That will always determine how aggressive we are in the transfer window and how adamant we are to get things done."
