Kelvin Yeboah, the nephew of football legend Tony Yeboah, has bagged a brace on his debut in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The 24 year old scored twice for Minnesota United in a 3-2 loss to Seattle Sounders with Yeboah scoring in the 24th minute from the penalty spot and in the 56th minute with a fine chip after being played through on goal.
Yeboah, who is eligible to play for Ghana and Italy, was happy about his goals but described the occasion as “bittersweet” due to Minnesota’s loss.
“Yeah I’m happy for the goals. It’s bittersweet because of the team; we were not able to bring a winner home. As a striker, I’ve been working a lot in front of the goal so I think repetition and once you get on the pitch it becomes natural. I’m just thankful that my body was able to hold up.”

Yeboah scored six goals in 14 appearances for Standard Liege while on loan at the Belgian club from Genoa. He also had loan stints at Montpellier and FC Augsburg. Scroll down to watch goal.
