Oman's Sultan Qaboos sacked two ministers, the officials who have been asked by protesters to quit, state-run ONA news agency reported on Saturday.
Qaboos fired Sayed Ali bin Hmud al-Busaidi, minister of the royal court, and General Ali bin Majid al-Maamari, minister in the sultan's office.
Al-Busaidi was replaced by Khaled bin Hilal bin Saud al-Busaidi while al-Maamari replaced by Sultan bin Mohammed al-Numani.
Al-Arabiya news network said protesters demanding economic and political reforms have demanded the sack of the two ministers.
Last week, the Sultan announced a government shake-up, replacing six cabinet ministers and bringing in some new advisors.
