The presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on Saturday concluded their eighth round of tripartite talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in Sochi and issued a joint statement which stresses on solving all disputable matters peacefully.
The joint statement emphasized the parties' willingness "to solve all disputable matters peacefully and conduct investigation of possible incidents along the cease-fire line under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairman through the assistance of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office."
According to reports reaching here, the statement said: "The presidents stressed the importance of their regular contacts on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and agreed to continue them in such format in addition to the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairman."
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev discussed in Sochi the practical implementation of the tripartite declaration adopted by them during their last round of talks in Astrakhan on Oct. 27 last year.
The presidents agreed in Sochi to conclude exchanging prisoners of war as soon as possible, in that the three presidents signed the Astrakhan declaration envisaging the return of POWs.
