The Nandom Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Anthony Ziniel, has launched a focused revenue mobilisation exercise to strengthen the Assembly’s Internally Generated Fund (IGF).
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, Mr Ziniel and his team visited the Nandom Market, engaging traders, market women, and business operators to collect market tolls while educating them on the importance of fulfilling their tax obligations.
According to the MCE, the initiative formed part of a broader strategy to enhance local revenue generation, which will fund key development projects within the Municipality.
He emphasised that the exercise was not a one-off event but would be conducted regularly on every market day to ensure consistency and sustainability in revenue collection.
The MCE also disclosed that similar exercises would be extended to other market centres across the Municipality, promoting fairness and inclusiveness in the revenue mobilisation process.
Moreover, Mr Ziniel reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective resource mobilisation as it works toward achieving sustainable development for all residents.
