The Ghanaian Community in France Council (GHACIF) and Organization of Ghanaians Abroad (OGHA), together with Nananom of the Ghana Traditional Council in France during President John Dramani Mahama's recent visit to France honoured him with a Certificate of Recognition and Excellence Award.
At a cocktail reception held at Salon Hoche in Paris, a citation stated that "Twice President of the Republic of Ghana, You have changed the narratives of the Ghanaian citizen. You have made us believe in God's possibilities. Your miraculous return to reset our country, Raised higher the Image of our motherland Ghana and Ghanaians across the World. Our Record in Democracy has now become UNMATCHED and UNPRECEDENTED," was presented to President Mahama.
The event was attended by high-ranking personalities from Ghana and the Ghanaian community in France, including Ghana’s Ambassador to France, Mavis Ama Frimpong, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marietta Brew and Beatrice Anang both Presidential Staffers and Lt Col (rtd) Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, Special Envoy to the Alliance of Sahelian States.
The award, according to Mr. Osei Mensah Michael, the President of GHACIF & OGHA was to ginger President Mahama with his pragmatic approach to put the country on track and furthermore solidify the connection between the presidency and Ghanaians.
President Mahama thanked Ghanaians in France for the honour done him and highlighted progress made in the implementation of his Reset Agenda policies.
Ghana’s Ambassador to France, Mavis Ama Frimpong in her welcome address reiterated her commitment to ensuring that Ghanaian citizens in France benefit from the President's Reset Agenda.
