Deputy Protocol Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Frimpong, has cautioned party faithful that the future of the party is in jeopardy if its key leaders continue to face internal attacks and propaganda campaigns.
In a strongly worded statement on Monday, September 8, Frimpong defended Abena Osei-Asare, Member of Parliament for Atiwa East and former Deputy Finance Minister, dismissing as “laughable and dishonest” claims that she has done little for the party.
He insisted that Osei-Asare’s contributions are visible across the country, citing her efforts in creating jobs for young members, offering financial and educational support, and helping party faithful secure positions of dignity and influence.
“She has changed lives and destinies of families across the country. If I were to list the people Hon. Abena Osei-Asare has supported and the regions they come from, many would be amazed at the results,” he stressed.
Frimpong added that unlike those who “make noise,” Osei-Asare works quietly but effectively, ensuring her impact is felt where it matters most. He described her as a “Destiny Changer” and “Obaatanpa” who remains a lifeline for many within the NPP.
The NPP executive warned against allowing propaganda to derail the party’s chances in the 2028 elections.
“These are the very people who will be leading us into 2028. If we destroy their image today, who will carry us to victory tomorrow?” he asked.
Frimpong further accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), with support from state security, of deliberately targeting NPP dignitaries in an attempt to weaken the party. He urged members to remain united, disciplined, and respectful of their own leaders as the party positions itself for the next election.
