Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey, has called on all newly confirmed Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to immediately commence the “resetting agenda” and work towards equitable development across all parts of their districts.
Her call comes after the successful confirmation of all 13 MMDCE nominees in the assemblies she visited on Monday, May 5, 2025. Addressing the media at Akosombo to mark the end of the first week of confirmations, the Minister urged the new appointees to foster unity and lead development efforts beyond political lines.
“This is a signal that Ghanaians are up to something, and they appreciate the resetting Ghana Agenda of the president. I also want to appreciate all the municipal chief executives who have been confirmed and say that as much Ghanaians appreciate the resetting agenda, there is much that is expected of us as government appointees,” she said.
