The Vice President and 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his unwavering faith in God’s plan to elevate him to greater heights.
Despite his defeat in the 2024 general elections to the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Bawumia remains optimistic about a brighter future guided by divine purpose.
Speaking during the 31st Watch Night service at the Lighthouse Chapel International, Dr. Bawumia shared, “I know and believe that God has a plan for me for greater and better things in the future.”
Dr. Bawumia also expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful conduct of the 2024 general elections and called on Ghanaians to adopt a spirit of gratitude.
He encouraged citizens to embrace hope and thankfulness as the nation transitions into 2025, emphasizing the importance of unity and positivity for the years ahead.
“The book of Thessalonians 5:18 tells us that in all things, give thanks to God. I have an abiding faith in the Lord, and for what He has done for us, we give Him thanks.”
Dr. Bawumia extended his New Year greetings to the congregation and all citizens of Ghana.
“From my wife and me, we wish you a Happy New Year. God bless Lighthouse Chapel, and God bless Bishop Dag.”
Dr. Bawumia was present at the service alongside his wife, Samira Bawumia, the National Chairman of the NPP, Stephen Ntim, and several other senior members of the party.
