A circuit court in Cape Coast on Tuesday granted GH¢ 2,000 bail to Aba Badu, a 28-year-old trader, who allegedly bit the nose of a neighbour.
Badu, who pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing harm, would re-appear at court on Tuesday 18 November.
Chief Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court, presided over by Mr. Richard Aseidu-Badu, that on October 16, Badu's younger brother, who is mentally retarded, stole a fowl belonging to the mother of the complainant, resulting in a quarrel between the two families.
Prosecutions said some neighbours stopped them from quarrelling but Badu later fought with her mother.
Chief Insp. Azasoo said when the complainant tried to separate them, Badu bit her on the nose.
