An Akim Swedru Circuit Court on Thursday sentenced Kwasi Semanu, unemployed to four years imprisonment for stealing electric cables belonging to Mrs Florence Okyere Twum a trader at Akim Oda.
Semanu pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal, stealing and unlawful entry.
An accomplice, Yaw is on the run.
The prosecution told the court presided over by Mr Edward Kwame Apenkwa that the complainant owns an eight bedroom self-contained house that had been entrusted in the care of Madam Mercy Agbey.
It said during the afternoon of September 17, this year, the accused and accomplice unlawfully entered the house and stole some electric cables used to wire the house.
The prosecution said in the process, they were spotted by Madam Agbey who raised the alarm and the accused person and accomplice took to their heels but accused was arrested and after investigations charged with the offence.
