The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has issued a scam alert to the public against a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating on social media.
The GPHA issued the alert signed by Dr Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako, the General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
The alert read, “The attention of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has been drawn to a fraudulent notice circulating on social media, falsely claiming to be from the Authority.
“This fake announcement list contains a form requesting the applicant’s details, thus, first name, last name, phone number and email address.”
It added: “We wish to emphatically state that GPHA is not conducting any recruitment at this time, and the information in the said post is false and misleading. The general public is therefore advised to ignore this fake notice and avoid engaging with its content.”
It stressed that GPHA publishes all official announcements only through its official website and legitimate communication channels.
“Kindly treat this scam with the contempt it deserves and help stop the spread of misinformation,” the release said.
