He also urged citizens, political leaders, and stakeholders to seek dialogue and legal remedies, rather than resorting to violence.

Dr Bishop Kisseih was speaking at the Annual Conference of the Ghana Pente­costal and Charismatic Council which was held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.

Dr Kisseih who is also the General Over­seer of the Life International Church, noted that Ghana had built a strong democratic foundation over the years and must continue to uphold its reputation as a peaceful nation.

He reminded Ghanaians to embrace all shades of opinion and that no nation can develop without peace.

Dr Kisseih advised Christians to keep, de­fend, and guide their faith and speak against divisive tendencies.

“I urge my colleagues in the Lord to defend their faith. What they stand for, what they live by, your faith is not the Bible you read, your faith is that hidden thing that controls you such as thou shall not kill steal. As Christians to please God, also to have a nation where Godliness and upright, where corruption is low and prosperity abounds,” he added.

Turning his attention to the newly elected government, Dr Bishop Kisseih urged appointees to work in the interest of the people.

The General Secretary of GPCC, Mr Samuel Gyau Obuobi, acknowledged the contributions of Christians in building a just and prosperous nation.

He said those entrusted into political offices should strive to serve the people, rather than the usual self-seeking interests.

The conference which aimed at bringing all members around the nation to participate to talk about things of God and how to make an impact in building the nation of Ghana as Men of God.

It was under the theme “Shining like stars in a world.”

The two-day conference brought together 250 participants.
