The United Nations Secretary-General's Global Call for nominations/applications to expand and diversify the pool of Special Representatives of the Secretary-General, Deputy Special Representatives of the Secretary-General, and Special Envoys in UN Peacekeeping Operations and Special Political Missions is now open until 15 July.
The Secretary-General is searching for exceptional leaders who have the expertise, competencies, skills, values and behaviours to lead the United Nation's complex missions in the field.
The Global Call, previously held in 2021, 2019 and 2017, aims to advance gender parity and geographical diversity at the most senior level in United Nations field missions.
