King Solomon has been recognised for scoring the highest mark in the world for Cambridge International A Level Information Technology in the June 2023 Cambridge International Education examination series.
The Ghanaian teenager from Merton International School in Accra received the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards as an acknowledgement of his exceptional performance.
The certificate of award from Cambridge Assessment International Education for Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Ghana signed by Rod Smith, Group Managing Director, International Educational said: “King Solomon Mawuena Ladzekpo of Merton International Primary & High School gained the highest mark in the world for Cambridge International A Level Information Technology in the June 2023 Cambridge examinations”.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world.
Cambridge qualifications equip learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to thrive in and outside the classroom, at university and beyond. The qualifications are recognised and valued by leading universities worldwide.
King Solomon is currently an Aerospace Engineering major candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the USA. He is the President of AIESEC U.S. at Georgia Tech. AIESEC is a global non-governmental and not-for-profit organization for young people to develop their leadership potential.
He is also a mentor at the university’s Global Leadership Living Learning Community for freshmen and currently works part-time as a Student Assistant at the university’s Centre for Student Engagement.
King Solomon has arrived in Accra from Atlanta to a hero’s welcome presentation with a national flag, flower bouquet and a flash mob dance performance to kick-start the celebration of his outstanding achievement.
He is also set to be recognized as the Overall Best Student for the 2023 Cambridge Advanced Level exams in Ghana, at the 2024 British Council Partner Schools Awards ceremony.
