SINCE its inception two years ago, the Samini Xperience concert has been hosted in Accra but come this year, on December 24, the event will happen at the forecourt of the Ridge Condos in Kumasi.
Artistes supporting Samini on the Christmas Eve jam include Tinny, Jupitar, Kofi Jamar, Kweku Flick, King Paluta and a host of others.
Talking to Graphic Showbiz, Samini’s manager, Mr Yaw Beeko said the Samini Xperience concert had to go to Kumasi so that Samini’s fans will also have a feel of him.
“We decided to take the concert to Kumasi so that fans of Samini could also enjoy the experience. The first two editions where held in Accra and we felt it will be proper to take it to Oseikrom. Next year, we plan taking Samini Xperience to other regions so all his fans in the country can get up-close with him.
“The December 24 jam in Kumasi which will be emceed by radio personlity, Andy Dosty promises to be lit. With the supporting artistes bringing their unique talents on stage, fans can expect a diverse and electrifying musical experience” he added.
Well-known radio personality, Andy Dosty is set to host the event, ensuring the audience is engaged and entertained throughout the night.
Samini has to his credit seven studio albums, with all being highly successful on the commercial market. His success and recognition began with his first single, Linda.
His debut studio album, Dankwasere, was released in 2004 topped the local music charts for weeks.
In addition to performing with his colleagues from Ghana, he has also shared the stage with international acts such as Sean Paul, Akon, Kevin Little, Shaggy, Wayne Wonder, Damian Marley, Bennie Man, Jay-Z, Chaka Demus & Pliers and Steel Pulse.
The 2006 Best African Act at MOBO Awards has hit songs like Sweet Mistake, Music, Obra, My Own, Iskoki among others.
