23 year old graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Okyere Fred Acheamfo known by the showbiz name Jay Wilder has been awarded 80,000 cedis as his prize for winning this year's Orijin Untamed talent hunt held at James Town in Accra recently.
Jay Wilder beat seven other contestants after three rounds of rap battle to win the coveted title. Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz after the event, Jay Wilder said he was grateful for the opportunity given by the organisers and hoped to ride on the new status to attain more success in his young music career. “I knew I would do well but never dreamt of becoming the ultimate winner. I am so grateful for that. This is a wake up call for me to do more because 80k is a huge amount to come by in recent times.
" I am recording my first album early next year and I know it will do so well,” he said. Black Berry came second in the Orijin Untamed competition that empowers young talents to pursue their passions while growing their creative abilities.
