Activa International Insurance Ghana, through its Foundation (Activa Group Foundation) has donated an eight-seater ICT laboratory to the Korle Gonno Community Library as part of its corporate social responsibility in promoting education and empowering the next generation.
The ICT lab, equipped with modern computers installed with Ghana Education Service-approved Basic and Junior High school educational materials in Science, Mathematics, English and other subjects is designed to enhance learning experience.
It is aimed at providing children in the community with access to comprehensive educational resources in addition to ICT skills needed in a digital era where Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education is the key pillar driving socio-economic development.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the Managing Director of Activa International Insurance Ghana, Mr. Benjamin Yamoah stated that education remains the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and driving sustainable growth.
He noted that by equipping young learners with digital literacy and STEM competencies, the Foundation is helping to prepare them for future careers in technology, science, and innovation.
