Thirty-one individuals have been honoured at this year’s Entrepreneurs Awards Gala in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the country’s private sector.
The awardees comprised six Legacy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients and 25 individuals celebrated as the Top 25 Most Influential Entrepreneurs of All Time.
Held on the theme: “Celebrating 15 Years of Honouring Entrepreneurial Excellence,” the event took place in Accra last Friday (August 1).
The annual event, which was instituted in 2010 by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, seeks to acknowledge entrepreneurs and business executives who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, upheld good corporate governance practices and achieved sustained business success across diverse sectors of the economy.
Recipients of the Legacy Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 were the Paramount Chief of the Nandom Traditional Area and former Chairman of the Ghana Medical and Dental Council, Naa Prof. Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII; Chancellor and Founder of Wisconsin International University College Ghana, Dr Paul Kofi Fynn; Executive Chairman of Holy Trinity Medical Centre and Holy Trinity SPA and Health Farm, Dr Felix Kwaku Anyah; Executive Chairman of Strategic Security Systems International Ltd, Dr Francis Akuamoah Boateng; Founder and Chairman of Jay Kay Group, Parshotam Aidasani; Chief Executive Officer of M & G Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Gopal Vasu and the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV.
Among those honoured in the Top 25 Most Influential Entrepreneurs of All Time included Founder and Chairman of McDan Group, Daniel McKorley; Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Healthcare Ltd, Bernard Joseph; Founder and Chairman of B5 PLUS Group, Mukesh V. Thakwani; Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies, Joseph Siaw Agyepong; Chief Executive Officer of LAINE Services Ltd, Dr Ellen Hagan; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah; Chief Executive Officer of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Ltd, Dr Paul Sekyere Nyantakyi; Chief Executive Officer of Sleek Garments Export Limited, Dr Nora Bannerman-Abbott.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, in a statement read on his behalf by Presidential Staffer, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, commended the awardees for their role in shaping the country’s economic landscape.
He described the ceremony as not merely ceremonial but deeply symbolic, noting that it sent a clear message to young Ghanaians that entrepreneurship was not just an option, but a powerful tool for national transformation.
