StarLife’s brand commitment to protecting lives, fostering innovation and creating social impact.
Many people have big dreams and are looking to progress in life by securing their future and that of their families. For clients of today and tomorrow who are living life at full speed in a digital world, StarLife is reinforcing its commitment with “Innovation. Empathy. Leadership. Delivering.”
For close to 20 years, StarLife has helped clients to confidently pursue their dreams and passions by taking care of what is important to them: their financial future and financial security for their families.
Innovation: Digital Transactions
Leveraging technology to help clients easily access and manage their insurance solutions is a vital part of our client satisfaction agenda. We have rolled out digital solutions like the Mobile App; MyStar and USSD code; *7373#. These platforms allow clients to check their policies, pay premiums, apply for claims, make partial withdrawals, initiate refunds and locate branches nationwide at their convenience. They can also buy airtime, data and pay utility bills using the MyStar and USSD Code. This underscores StarLife’s quest for superior customer experiences, innovation and a commitment to partnership with clients for life.
Empathy: Social Impact Initiatives
As a company that prides itself in protecting lives, we continue to play a significant role in supporting various vulnerable groups in the country. We have prioritized the well-being of women and children in our social impact initiatives and as part of this year’s Mother’s Day Celebrations, we paid the medical bills of over 20 new mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospital and Mother and Child Hospital, Kasoa, paving way for them to be discharged. We also supported the Kressner Handmaids Children’s Home with assorted items and a cash donation. Other groups StarLife supported are the African Health Supplies; an organization committed to providing state-of-the-art solutions for critically ill and premature new-borns, the Down Syndrome Foundation; an NGO that supports children with down syndrome, the Hope Setters Autism Centre; an NGO dedicated to supporting and training persons living with disability.
Leadership: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Investments
The launch of our ESG policy signifies our commitment to invest more in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) related programmes such as staff volunteerism in local communities, energy and natural resource conservation, ethical supply chain and many others. This commitment was emphasised when we supported this year’s Green Ghana Day to contribute to government’s drive in restoring the country’s depleted forest cover and sustaining the environment.
Delivering: Partnerships
Building credible and strategic relationships and partnerships is one of the ways we explore to provide affordable insurance solutions to our clients. One of such major partnerships is a strategic alliance with the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC). This agreement, which is one of a kind in the industry, provides tailor-made life insurance policies that will secure member churches of GPCC, their families, and ultimately support the council. Another pioneering partnership with insuretechs is in the offing and it seeks to promote financial inclusion in the industry.
