BlowChem Industries Limited has donated quantity of its products Bel-Aqua Mineral Water and Bel Beverages to the COVID-19 frontline institutions to support and motivate the staff as they work to curb the spread of the pandemic in the country.
The institutions were: the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Tema General Hospital, the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Police Service, and the Ghana Immigration service to support the fight against COVID-19.
Mr. Moses Fei Koranteng Marketing Manager for Bel Beverages who presented the items on behalf of BlowChem Industries Limited to the institutions noted that corporate bodies must support frontline bodies and other allied officials in the efforts to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus in Ghana.
The items included; drinks, water, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and hand gloves were presented to support the frontline workers at the three institutions in their fight to eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Mr Koranteng noted that management of BlowChem considered the fight against COVID-19 as national call to duty by all Ghanaians, "we are therefore as part of our corporate social responsibility donating to support these frontline institutions.
"We need to reduce the pressure on these frontline workers, offer them the needed backup support to ensure that they concentrate fully on the task of saving life and safeguarding the general public".
Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Manager of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital who received 100 packs of Bel aqua water; 50 packs of Bel aqua Active; 30 gallons of disinfectant; 10 gallons of bleach, 20 boxes of hand gloves and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers on behalf of the hospital commended the BlowChem for the support.
Dr Emmanuel Srofenyoh, Medical Director, the Greater Accra Regional Hospital who received: 100 packs of Bel aqua water, 50 packs of Bel aqua Active, 30 gallons of disinfectant, 15 gallons of bleach, 20 boxes of hand gloves and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers on behalf of the hospital was grateful for the donation.
Dr Richard Anthony, Medical Director of the Tema General Hospital, received the items on behalf of the hospital; 100 packs of Bel Aqua water, 50 packs of Bel aqua Active water, 40 gallons of disinfectant, 15 gallons of Bleach, 20 boxes of Hand gloves, and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers.
Superintendent Michael Amankwaah Atta, Public Relations Officer, Ghana Immigration Service received 150 packs of Bel Aqua water, 50 packs of Bel Aqua Active, 50 packs of Big Boss Energy drink, and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers urged other companies to support frontline institutions.
He assured BlowChem management that the items will be used for its purposes and appealed to other organizations to come forward in donating more items.
The items to the Ghana Police Service were; 100 packs of Bel Aqua water, 100 packs of Bel Aqua Active water, 50 packs of Big Boss Energy drink, and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers.
The Ghana Armed Forces items were made of; 100 packs of Bel Aqua water, 100 packs of Bel Aqua Active water, 50 packs of Big Boss Energy drink, and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers to aid the security forces fight against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.
