In his first home match after changing his international allegiance from Spain to represent Ghana, Athletic Bilbao striker Iñaki Williams is all set to make an appearance today at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 4 pm.
He has been named in the starting line-up for the Africa Cup of Nations Group E Qualifier against Angola.
The highly-rated footballer is yet to score his first international goal for Ghana despite playing all three group games at the World Cup and will be looking to score on his home debut at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Williams has scored five times and provided two assists in 24 appearances in the Spanish La Liga this season. However, he has endured a goal drought this year and is yet to score for Bilbao in a competitive match.
Chris Hughton, the coach, has selected a group of four forwards, including Williams, Kudus Mohammed, Jordan Ayew, and Kamal Deen Sulemana.
The midfield will feature Arsenal star Thomas Partey and Edmund Addo, while Lawrence Ati Zigi, who performed well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, will start in goal.
The defensive line-up includes Denis Odoi, Gideon Mensah, Daniel Amartey, and Alexander Dziku.
