Kwesé TV, a subsidiary of Econet Media, will on Saturday, December 8, organize a seven-kilometre walk dubbed "Kwese Power Walk".
The event, is expected to attract 1000 participants, who would go through some principal streets of Accra.
It would begin at El-Wak stadium through 37 roundabout, along the liberation road, through airport roundabouts & shell, airport bypass (Aviation social centre area), then back to El-Wak stadium.
People from all walks of life, a mixture of young and old, are ready to lead a pack of health conscious walk to educate Ghanaians on the need to adopt healthy living habits.
Mr. Lawrence Nartey-Kornor, the event organizer and co-producer of the Kwese morning show, Head Start, told the GNA Sports that, all was now set for the seven-kilometre race to kick-start from the El-Wak sports stadium by 6am.
More than 20 organizations including corporate bodies, youth groups and Keep Fit Clubs in the Accra and the Cape Coast Metropolis, have confirmed their participation.
Hill Street Keep fit Club, RCC Keep fit Club, Ice fitness, Dollar Empire, Garico keep fit club, Fiorentina Keep fit club, Save life fitness, Lakeside keep fit Club, United fitness from Kasoa, Opportunity Empires, DK fitness, Ghana Youth Ministry (The fest) and many others are expected to join staff and presenters of Kwesé TV for the walk.
It begins from El-Wak stadium through 37 roundabouts along the liberation road all the way through airport roundabouts & shell, airport bypass (Aviation social centre area) then back to El-Wak stadium.
Aside the endurance walk, there would be series fun games including aerobics, dancing competition, sack race etc spiced with lots of music.
The 2018 Kwese Power Walk is powered by the Kwese morning show, Head start and sponsored by Fanyogo Funky Banana, Number 8 from Food Tech, Nestle Nescafé, Beautiful Beneath, GMT Insoles and Voltic Ghana Limited.
