Techiman base Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC defeated Prisons Ladies based of Sunyani by a goal to nil (1-0) to lift the Women's Super Cup trophy played at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium in Dormaa-Ahenkro. The first half of the game saw both sides making dangerous and threatening incursions into each others goal territory, but they blew off opportunities.
In the 12th minute, Ampem Darko's Ophelia S. Amponsah laid a pass to Priscilla Adubaa after outwitting two defenders but she squandered the opportunity by shooting off target. Then four minutes after, Prisons had an opportunity to shoot ahead but Martha Gyekye failed to convert it, after her volley went off target. Priscilla Adubaa came back in strongly in another move in the 19th minutes but her final delivery hit the wood work.
Back after recess, Ampem Darkoa Ladies begun aggressively in an onslaught to pile pressure upon on the Prisons defenders, this time their efforts yielded results, when Priscilla Adubaa struck in the 71st minute for the only goal of the match. Priscilla had an opportunity to increase the tally to two in the 74th minute for her side but she blew the chance away.
The rest of the game was dictated by the Prison Ladies in midfield battles lead by Helena Obeng in partnership with Anima Ruth whose incursions proved extremely tormenting and threatening in overlaps towards Ampem Darkoa Ladies goal territory.
They failed to capitalised as their persistent efforts never produced an equaliser. The match was officiated by Referee Juliet Appiah.
