Mr Albert Commey, Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, has appealed to corporate bodies to help his outfit construct a new training pitch. He said construction works on the training pitch, which started years ago came to a halt due to unavailability of funds. Speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports, Mr Commey said the change in government also led to the suspension of discussions on the construction of the training pitch, following the exit of the Chief Executive of the Dormaa Municipal Assembly led by Mr Gordon Asubonteng. He indicated that talks on the subject would resume after a new Municipal Chief Executive has been appointed to seek the Municipal Assembly’s complimentary support for the construction of the training pitch. The CEO noted that it was vital to move this noble agenda forward and improve the status and conditions of the training pitch because it would relieve the Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu I Stadium from the pressure and the dual role it now plays as both the training and home ground of Aduana Stars. Mr Commey explained that it would allow authorities ample time to focus on putting the Osagyefo Agyemang Badu I Stadium pitch in good shape and pull it out from the list of bad pitches in the country.
