The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, has rallied supporters of the party to reach out to everybody – knock on doors, to get them out to vote.
He said it was important to recognize that every vote could make a difference.
He was addressing a political rally at Teachermate in the Ayensuano constituency as part of his election campaign tour of the Eastern Region to woo voters. This comes barely three weeks to the presidential and parliamentary polls. Nana Akufo-Addo assured the people that if voted in, he would lead the nation to economic prosperity - efficiently and transparently manage its resources to make things better.
He told the cheering crowd that his government would not disappoint adding that, it would deliver on every election promise made. He could not deceive Ghanaians by making any promise, he knew he could deliver, he stated. Nana Akufo-Addo, who had earlier made whistle stops at Asuboi and Amanase, assured the people that the implementation of his “one district, one factory policy” was going to create job opportunities.
He said steps would also be taken to salvage the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), which had been struggling, to enhance access to quality healthcare. . Mr. Samuel Ayeh-Paye, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, appealed to the people to vote massively to bring the NPP back to power to end, what he termed the un-paralleled economic suffering.
