Bishop Bright Michael Adofoh, Founder and General Overseer of the Peace Chapel International has advised Christians to shun commercial prophets and rather be committed and loyal to what God had ordained for them.
He said to have a successful life "was to cherish what God had ordained for us."
Bishop Adofoh gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during a five-day revival by his church at Abeka Lapaz, in Accra to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the church, which was under the theme, "Bless the Lord, O my Soul and Forget not his Benefits (Psalm 103:2)."
The General Overseer said his future plans are to set up basic and senior high schools, a university, a hospital and orphanages.
Bishop John Tutu, Provost and Country Director of the Institute of African Missions in Accra, speaking on the topic; "Demand of Leadership," said leadership is attained and not by appointment and that there was the need for leaders to grow to the top.
He said in achieving greatness and leadership roles, one needed to contribute to and serve society and called on Ghanaians to be time conscious in whatever they do.
A statement read at the church said "Bishop Bright Michael Adofoh was once a radio mechanic and semi literate and had to battle against poverty and discouragement before he was called by God. He once had his home in a taxi cab and his church office under a tree but today he has become a motivation to many".
It said Bishop Adofoh now oversees the 16 branches of the Peace Chapel International in Ghana and the United Kingdom with a congregation of about 2,000.
A citation on his achievements, which had the headline "Positive Impact Maker," said; "in recognition of your several unparalleled services, contribution and positive impact on the image and development of the body of Christ and the Peace Chapel International in particular."
