Saudi army said it killed leader of Yemeni rebels who infiltrated to its territories, Riyadh-based Al- Watan daily reported on its website on Sunday.
Saudi paratroopers said they made a successful landing in the mountainous area of Jabal al-Dukhan, southern Saudi Arabia, and killed the leader of Yemeni rebels who sneaked into Saudi territories and sheltered in the area.
Meanwhile, the local daily said the Saudi army continued combing the area of Jabal al-Dukhan where it managed to arrest dozens of Yemeni militants and seized huge amounts of arms.
Saudi military jets took part in the attacks which targeted the hideouts of Houthi rebels inside Saudi territories and prevented them from opening new pathways for infiltration.
Unidentified sources said the Saudi army destroyed an arms cache for the rebels in the mountainous area of Jabal al-Qarn in southern Saudi
Arabia.
On the other hand, the rebels said they bombed a Saudi military base with mortar shells saying it was used by the army to launch attacks against
Yemeni villages within the past eight days.
