Mr. Joseph Kwaku Adjei, President of Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), has commended Nkoranza Traditional Council for its
contribution to the promotion of education in the area.
He appealed to the people to support the council in providing the quality human resource
base needed for development.
Mr. Adjei, the Headmaster of Nkoranza Senior High School, said this when he paid a courtesy call on Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom IV, Omanhene of Nkoranza, at his palace.
At the meeting, the paramount chief ordered the release of 400 Ghana cedis from his Educational Endowment Fund to Ms Florence Serwaa, a needy but promising student, who had qualified for admission into Techiman Senior High School.
The GNAT President described the Omanhene as "development-oriented" who had great vision for the people and the development of the area and called on other traditional authorities to emulate the council.
