A Goaso Circuit court presided over by Mr Albert Zoogah has fined Seidu Bellem, a farmer, 200 Ghana cedis for stealing two sheep.
The court ordered Bellem who pleaded guilty to pay 30 Ghana cedis to the complainant as compensation or in default serve six months imprisonment.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Charles Arthur told the court that the complainant, Mr George Kwadwo Mohammed, was a mechanic and reared sheep whilst the accused was unemployed and both resided at Goaso in Asunafo North Municipality.
He said on October 19 this year, Mr Mohammed released his sheep to graze but the accused stole two of them and sent them to Mim to sell.
The prosecution said while the accused was offering the sheep for sale, one Atonga, a witness saw him (accused) and reported the case to the police and was arrested.
