Mr Emmanuel Wireko-Brobby, the Head of Electrical Engineering Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, has been adjudged the over-all best worker for 2019 during the Hospital's annual thanksgiving awards ceremony.
For his award, Mr Wireko-Brobby took home GH¢15,000.00, a plaque, certificate, television set and a citation.
At the event held at the forecourt of the Hospital, management, in the citation, described him as having consistently demonstrated transparency and accountability in his work adding that they were proud of his exemplary contributions.
The first and second runners-up were Dr Chris Oppong, Emergency Physician Senior Specialist; and Madam Lydia Adwoa Konadu, a Pharmacist; also took GH¢10,000.00 and GH¢5,000.00, respectively for their prizes, in addition to the television sets.
The citation said his outstanding performance, superior dedication and positive attitude towards work has improved power supply at the premier hospital of the region.
"You have consistently demonstrated selflessness, hard work, innovation as well as legendary reputation for getting things done ever since you joined the Hospital," it said.
It said he remains an inspiration to his colleagues, a mentor to his juniors, motivation and source of hope to the entire KATH community.
The citation said despite his position in his department, he was always on the ground to ensure uninterrupted health care delivery in the Hospital.
"With limited staff, you have been able to improve the lightening situation in the entire hospital community which has enhanced the security situation of the hospital tremendously".
"Amongst others your remarkable contribution in the installation and commissioning of the two ultra-modern oxygen plants at the Hospital cannot be overlooked. A disciplinarian and diligent by nature, there is a general impression that a job will be well executed once it has been entrusted into your capable hands," it said.
