Christmas is celebrated across the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is widely celebrated and accepted in many countries. During Christmas schools and workplaces go on a break. Christmas holidays have become internationally recognized. It is a season of joy. Both the young and the old show appreciation to their families and loved ones. Children get very excited when the wind of Christmas is felt around them. They are happy to travel with their families to places to celebrate Christmas. Some get the opportunity to visit their aunties, grandmothers, uncles, and other relatives in the villages or towns.
On Christmas Eve a lot of celebrations take place, children put on their best clothes and carry any other souvenirs they get from adults. They are always eager and happy to partake in Christmas activities such as drumming, dancing, singing, and drama.
Here at SCEF, we give street connected children the opportunity to be loved and enjoy Christmas.
Preparations are underway, children are enthusiastically rehearsing to partake in our Pre-Christmas event.
Christmas is a time to give and receive gifts from our loved ones. Street and vulnerable children at James Town and Accra will not be left. We will be sharing the joy of Christmas with them because they need to be loved and have a sense of belonging. We will be building hampers for these children to enable them to celebrate Christmas.
Join us, as we learn and share in the Joy of Christmas.
