A 28-year computer technician has been remanded in prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit Court for allegedly threatening to kill a phone card vendor.
David Forkuo pleaded not guilty to the offence and would re-appear on Friday, January 28, 2011.
Police Chief Inspector Comfort Baffour-Kyei told the court presided over by Mr Justice Emmanuel Amoh-Yartey that the complainant, Josephine Tweneboa Koduah, is a tenant in the family house of Forkuo at Breman, Kumasi.
He said for some time now the accused has been threatening the complainant with ejection.
On December 26th last year, Fokuo without provocation damaged the door to the room of Josephine and threatened to hit her with a stone.
He was, however, restrained by his sister.
The prosecution said on Tuesday, January 18, at about 1000 hours, Fokuo again attacked the complainant in her room and threatened to kill her.
Josephine was rescued by people in the neighbourhood and she made a formal report to the police.
